About
Dan Linneman is a Partner at Adams Stepner Woltermann & Dusing, PLLC, where he focuses his practice on civil litigation. Dan represents a wide range of clients including cities, counties, elected officials and public employees; as well as insurance companies and their insureds, business entities, and individuals in all aspects of conflict resolution, from strategic planning and settlement negotiation to jury trial and appellate practice. He handles a broad range of legal issues, including personal injury, civil rights, insurance coverage disputes, municipal law, employment and housing law, and general tort law.
Mr. Linneman was raised in the Western Hills suburb of Cincinnati, where he graduated from Oak Hills High School. He studied journalism at Ohio University, and worked in television news for several years, including a stint at CNN in Atlanta, Georgia. Dan graduated from the University of Cincinnati Law School where he served as a Student Articles Editor on the Law Review. He served as Staff Attorney for Judge Robert Ringland of the Clermont County Court of Common Pleas before joining Adams Stepner Woltermann & Dusing, PLLC.

Business Litigation
Mr. Daniel Linneman’s practice is devoted to representing individuals and companies, both large and small, in business and commercial disputes. He prides himself on taking an individualized approach to business disputes. Mr. Linneman’s legal approach is based on the principle that effective representation demands a thorough understanding of the client’s strengths, weaknesses, and, most importantly, its goals.
Business and commercial disputes arise in various contexts, and Daniel Linneman has ample experience in virtually every forum, from pre-emptive strategic planning and counseling; to alternative dispute resolution, including informal negotiation, mediation, and arbitration; to all aspects of litigation, whether arising in state court, federal court, or various state and federal administrative agencies.
Government Litigation
Daniel Linneman devotes a substantial portion of his practice to defending municipalities, counties, government agencies, as well as individual government employees from claims for personal injury and property damage. Such claims typically arise as tort claims and therefore often involve the assertion of sovereign immunity or statutory immunity under Kentucky’s Claims Against Local Government Act.
Mr. Daniel Linneman has litigated these issues extensively in both the trial court and appellate levels of both state and federal court.
Insurance Defense
Mr. Daniel Linneman represents insured individuals and businesses against claims of negligence, premises liability, and a whole range of intentional torts, including business torts. Mr. Linneman handles such cases from beginning to end, from initial investigation and dispositive motions based upon the pleadings, through fact discovery, to motions for summary judgment, trial, and appeal. These claims most commonly arise in connection with personal injury such as automobile accidents, in which defense strategy may focus on liability or damages mitigation, such as in UM/UIM claims.
Mr. Linneman has also handled more unique claims such as products liability, defamation, trade secret theft, and unfair competition. In all cases, Mr. Linneman’s focus is providing thorough analysis in order to inform the insured and the carrier of the exposure, and to advise his clients on the best resolution strategy.
Insurance Coverage
Mr. Daniel Linneman represents insurance carriers in a wide range of insurance coverage issues. He has successfully represented insurance carriers in claims made by their insureds and third-party claimants where coverage has been denied or is in issue. Such claims arise in the context of credit disability and credit life policies, fire, casualty, liability, and other related insurance coverages.
In addition, Mr. Linneman also analyzes and interprets insurance policies in order to provide coverage opinions for use by insurance carriers in making coverage decisions.
